L115 Edge Foiler
The L115 Edge Foiler shape the profile, sand it smooth and apply the dry-transfer finish foil on MDF consecutively in one continuous process. Stock is transported through the machine by a bottom-feed chain with special pads that grip the stock securely while it passes the stations. The L115 Edge Foiler has digital readouts and micro-point tilt at the stations and digital readout on the ever-square infeed guide, this machine is designed for easy setup and repeatable tool change between profiles.
Shaping and sanding station is equipped with precision-balanced spindle drive motor and spindle rotates against the direction of feed. Two foiling stations are equipped with an 8-inch diameter foil wheel, a non-contact sensor, and an oven for automatic temperature control.
The L115 Edge Foiler has optional top and bottom score saw with high-speed arbors and climb cut rotation to cleanly cut through papers, veneers, etc. Scoring eliminates any chip out and enables the cutter to shape a clean edge which is vital to the finishing process.
The L115 Edge Foiler has an optional outfeed extension module with an adjustable grooving saw that provides edge foiling and drawer bottom groove in one pass. Adding this feature will process drawer sides that will shape (bullnose), sand, apply clear foil, and cut drawer bottom groove. The saw is adjustable for width and depth of the cut and contains a dust hood and vacuum outlet.
The resilient silicone wheel(s), manufactured by Voorwood, is heated using a specially engineered ceramic fiber oven. The wheel(s) bond the finish to the part using heat and pressure. An infrared sensor and a computer-controlled thermostat keep the wheel(s) at the right temperature for a high-quality transfer. The L115 Edge Foiler foiling station(s) are equipped with a pneumatic jump to automatically disengage foil wheel when the substrate is not present. The foil unwind features a large capacity with accurate tracking and constant tension adjustments.
